Banska Bystrica

Fortieth anniversary competition in a row over 2 m, Blanka completed on Europa SC high jump in 2009 in Banska Bystrica, booking not just another victory, but also the best achievement ever in the world in the threading of the competitions over the magic height. Thirdplaced French Melani Skotnik will leave Slovakia satisfied with a third place with, for her very good, 195 cm. Secondplaced Spanish Ruth Beitia provided a worthy resistance to our record-holder, breaking through on the forehead after jumping a 198 cm in the first attempt. All became clear at a height of 2 m, which our record-holder overcame in the first attempt.

"I felt strangely in the last two days. Somehow dreamy and genuinely, which I explained with weariness of the many events in recent time. At the competition, I felt bad and it is a miracle that I managed to jump 2 m, Blanka said anxiously after the event. Blanka tried three times to jump over 205 cm, which would be the best performance this season in the world, but this height will wait some other circumstances.
Bojan Marinovic said that Blanka, at the beginning of the competition, jumped easily, and she reminded him to competition in Stockholm, when she desolated national record, but after 198 cm she said that she felt fever and that she has no power. Thermometer showed 36.9 degrees. Limiting temperature, enough for caution. Blanka returns home, where she will perform medical review, and will decide on competing in Karlsruhe where she would have to compete on Sunday 15th of February.
