Blanka is in Barcelona for the first time. She came three days before the meeting, because the organizers wanted a special press conference. She was welcomed at the airport, and there was also the mascot of the upcoming European Championships, which is on the end of July.

This time, two years ago in Madrid, she congratulated the Spanish football team for the victory at the European Championships, and now she brings good luck again -  Spain is in the finals again.

The beautiful Olympic stadium, with a renewed blue background, will accomodate women's elite in the high jump, tomorrow at 19:20 hours; the American Howard who has the best result this year, will be there with Blanka, the host Ruth Beitia, who is the girl for the top, and Italian Di Martino, with 201 cm from this year, who didn't come just to complete the number.

The competition has a great competitive charge, but it will be an opportunity for Blanka to try the runway on which the finals of the high jump of the Old Continent will take place on the 1st of August.
